The Satwa Iranian Mosque

The Satwa Iranian Mosque is also called Imam Hussein Mosque. It is located in Satwa, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The Mosque is inspired by the Persian architectural designs and the Fatimid style as well, it is a Shia Mosque founded by the Iranian Community over there. The construction of the mosque was completed in 1979. It covers a total area of 2,500 square meters and its dome and walls are covered with the very beautiful blue tiles.

The mosque contains many halls and rooms, and it has got a library that includes more than 14,000 books of different languages and topics. The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding organizes weekly tours to the mosque, where non-Muslims are allowed to attend.
