The Ministry of Education New Premises

The Ministry of Education new premise’s design is inspired from the owls, a sailing ship from the Persian Gulf. It embodies the heritage of Kuwait and its rich history in fishing and maritime trade, and ships building. The site consists of two buildings of glass and metal formed on stone clad with a two storey base. The materials used consisting of glass, building materials, metals and stone where selected because of the splendor of the landscape and the continuity of durability. The two buildings are different in height, the first building is to rise to nine storeys, while the other consists of 11 floors, the two tend to the outside of the stone base, giving an impression that the building floats above the ground.
