Grand Mosque of Kuwait

The Grand Mosque of Kuwait is the largest the official mosque in the country.
The Grand Mosque is built in 1986, the cost of its construction is 13,000,000 KWD (48,644,400 USD). Its area spans 45,000 square metres (480,000 sq ft), out of which the building itself covers 20,000 square metres (220,000 sq ft). The main prayer hall is 72 metres (236 ft) wide on all sides, has teakwood doors, and has lighting provided by 144 windows.
The mosque can accommodate about 11,000 worshippers, and it contains 1 dome of 26 meters diameter, in addition to 1 minaret which is 74 meters high.
