The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM)

The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) is the main place in Oman for musical and cultural arts and performances. It is launched on the 12th of October in 2011.

The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) is built in Shati Al Qurm district in Muscat, the capital of Oman. Building such an amazing venue was of Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said’s order, the building is inspired from the traditional Arabic architectural designs and it is built by utilizing the traditional Omani desert rose stones. Almost half of the total space, which means 40,000 meters square, is filled with beautiful green areas. The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) includes an auditorium, a concert theater hall, cultural markets, luxurious restaurants, an art center fir musical, theatrical and operatic productions, retail outlets and the gardens, the building can receive nearly 1,100 person.

Many performances take place in that wonderfully designed building; some Western classical performances and others are Arabic such as tributes in honor of the Egyptian singer Um Kalthoum. The Royal Opera House
